Performers College Freshers Guide 2023

11 September, 2023

Performers College has a packed schedule for freshers’ this year, offering you some great  chances to introduce yourself to your fellow training professionals and chat all things music, film, theatre and dance.

Birmingham

At our Birmingham campus the week kicks off with a Welcome Breakfast  where you’ll also have the chance to mingle with your fellow freshers, making connections that will last throughout your university journey and into your career. Some highlights include movies at the Everyman Cinema, the craziest golf at Golf Fang, and Roller Disco at Rollerjam – but our pick for the biggest night is the unforgettable end-of-week party at Zumhoff, one of Digbeth’s awesome night spots where you can let loose and celebrate the beginning of your university adventure.

As the Birmingham campus is also home to our other BIMM University faculties, Screen and Film School and the BIMM Music Institute, you’ll also get to meet freshers from our other subject areas too.

Essex

At our Essex campus, home to the OG Performers College, we’ve got a packed week of activities such as Band-eoke, where you can sing along to a full live band, to our Musical Theatre Concert featuring our talented lecturers performing your favourite tunes, to our Ice Cream Social, School Disco and more.

The week culminates in the spectacular Performers College Festival, with headliners SVN London (featuring former cast member from the musical Six) Baby from Ru Pauls Drag Race,  Ego Valentino, Poppycock, Bloomfield Avenue, Showelli and DJ sets. The event will also feature food trucks, pop up cocktail bars, face painting and other fun and games to really mark the start of your training journey.

We can’t wait – we’ll see you there!
