We are delighted and excited to welcome back Dougie Mills, graduate of Performers College 1996, as a permanent member of the TAP FACULTY TEAM.
Dougie has been choreographing and performing tap dance at the highest level for over 20 years.
He was the lead performer in the worldwide productions Tap Dogs for over 15 years and as a choreographer, he has brought his unique style of tap into many theatre productions, such as Puttin’ on the Ritz, Strictly Gershwin (Royal Albert Hall), Viva La Diva, starring Darcey Bussell and Katherine Jenkins, and Strictly Tap Dance Fever.
Dougie also performed as a soloist on Take That Presents: The Circus Live UK national tour to crowds of 90,000 people and was an integral part of London’s 2012 Olympics closing ceremony. He can be seen via the link performing an outstanding tap routine with Adam Garcia in the Got to Dance 2014 Tap Showcase.
“I always look to push the boundaries, taking the audience on a journey to a brand new experience. With my choreography I want to take tap dancing to the next level…” – Dougie Mills
We have no doubt that Dougie will do this with the Performers students!
