Students Perform Flashmob at Brighton vs Leicester Women’s Match

24 November, 2025

Fifty Contemporary Musical Theatre pathway students from our Brighton campus recently delivered an electrifying flashmob performance on the concourse at the Amex Stadium during the Brighton and Hove Albion vs Leicester City women’s football match.

After being approached by the club’s marketing team, our talented third-year students rose to the challenge with three groups choreographing different sections of the performance to student-pitched tracks, with third-year student Emily Pottle creating a specially mixed soundtrack that brought the whole piece together.

Emily said:

“It was an amazing experience both being a choreographer and a performer for this flashmob, everyone worked really hard and it definitely paid off. I am very grateful to performers for giving us this fantastic opportunity”

The third years then taught their choreography to volunteers from across the second and third-year cohorts, demonstrating excellent collaborative skills and artistic direction.

Brighton campus careers manager Kirsty Yates commented:

“I am incredibly proud of the students for taking on the task with incredible bravery and imagination. They threw themselves into it and it was such a special experience to be at the Amex Stadium on match day and perform to a very different crowd than they are used to!”

The performance showcased not only our students’ technical abilities but also their adaptability and professionalism in a high-profile, non-traditional performance setting.

Thanks to Brighton and Hove Albion FC for providing these photographs, and follow third-year student Melody as she performs in the flashmob.
