Performers College celebrates graduating class of 2025
Performers College is proud to celebrate the achievements of the class of 2025 across its four campuses over the last month, with a series of ceremonies featuring special guest speakers from the worlds of performing arts, music, and entertainment.
The celebrations kicked off in Brighton on 18 November at Brighton Dome, where actor and Performers College Patron, Omari Douglas, addressed graduates. Best known for his breakout role in It’s a Sin and recent performances in Heartstopper and Bad Education, Douglas shared insights from his journey in the performing arts and imparted his advice to our future professionals.
Manchester graduates gathered at Factory International on November 25, with drag artist, DJ, and cultural icon Cheddar Gorgeous delivering the address. The Manchester-based performer brought their signature energy and personality to the occasion, celebrating the city’s vibrant creative community.
The Birmingham campus ceremony took place at B:Music Symphony Hall on 1 December, with Omari Douglas returning to inspire another cohort of graduates as they begin their professional journey.
The final celebration was held on 4 December at London’s Royal Festival Hall for our Essex graduates, once again joining fellow BIMM University graduates from BIMM Music Institute’s London campus. Legendary musician and Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker delivered a gripping speech, sharing his lessons from his long career as an entertainer.
Adam Davenport, Dean of Performing Arts at Performers College commented:
“These graduation ceremonies are always the highlight of the year. Watching our students transform from ambitious newcomers into confident, skilled performers ready to take on the industry is incredibly rewarding. This year’s graduates have shown exceptional commitment to their craft, and I’m excited to see where their careers take them.”
Alice-Joy Stevenson, Musical Theatre and Dance graduate will soon be joining Disney Cruises in Toronto as a character performer, reflected on the day:
“The whole day was wonderful, having the chance to celebrate graduation and the class of 2025 with family and friends was something I’d dreamt about for years. Its bittersweet to be graduating as I have adored my three years at PCol and have made the most incredible friends whilst being taught by amazing lecturers – but I’m beyond excited to see what the future now brings. I have a heavy heart, finally saying goodbye to the last three years.”
Performers College is delighted to honour our graduating students, whose outstanding achievements across Musical Theatre, Dance and Acting reflect their talent and determination. As they begin their professional careers, we offer every graduate our sincere congratulations and heartfelt best wishes for the future.
