Performers College Welcomes New Students in Spectacular Freshers Week

26 September, 2025

Performers College has kicked off the new academic year in style, welcoming hundreds of enthusiastic new students across its four campuses in Birmingham, Manchester, Brighton, and Essex during an action-packed Freshers Week.

Birmingham

Birmingham students launched into the week with the Big Freshers Challenge – a scavenger hunt around campus and the city centre that helped newcomers find their way around their new setting. This was followed by a Freshers Fair and bowling at Roxy Lanes Digbeth. A Freshers Open Mic gave new students their first chance to perform, whilst the Best of BIMM Gig Night showcased the high standards music students will work towards. The events brought together students from across BIMM University.

A Hip Hop Dance class gave students the chance to develop their movement skills, whilst the week also showcased Brighton’s vibrant nightlife and inclusive community spirit.

The highlight came with Thursday’s Musical Theatre Concert featuring special guests Tim Howar from Mike and the Mechanics and actress Preeya Kalidas. Students also enjoyed a masterclass by Nathan Ramsey of Diversity.  The campus concluded with a glamorous Oscars-themed Closing Party.
