Masterclass: Sisco Gomez

Sisco Gomez has performed as a commercial dancer for over 15 years with artists such as Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna and Kylie to name just a few.

As well as his successful career as a dancer Sisco has been a dance choreographer and a teacher in over 15 countries. At the age of 21 he worked as a judge on the Ukrainian version of So You Think You Can Dance for 8 seasons, and then became a judge on the UK version of the show. He was the Choreographer of the UK Hit show The X-Factor, which then lead him to choreograph many TV shows in China.

Sisco’s masterclass is designed to help dancers understand what it takes to be successful in the Commercial Dance Industry. He works on a dancer’s versatility and performance technique, while also focusing on the importance of dance etiquette within the industry.

Sisco was able to share his vast knowledge and experience of the commercial world with the students giving them an insight into what is needed to be successful, versatile and have longevity within this part of the industry. A truly valuable workshop to be a part of for anyone wishing to explore commercial dance, tv or choreography.

“Sisco Gomez’s workshop was an incredible full out commercial experience. The routine pushed us to be accurate but also have your own personal edge. He worked on how we could use more levels, dynamics, and articulation through our movement to allow us to develop our performance. The class concluded with individual feedback for everyone in the room. This was very useful as it will allow us to know what we need to work on for future auditions and masterclasses.”
