Tim Blowfield M.A.
Associate Lecturer - Contemporary Dance
Tim trained at Doreen Bird College and London Contemporary Dance School.
He performed in Matthew Bourne's "Swan Lake" and “The Car-Man” in the West End and on world tours. He danced with National Dance Company Wales (then called Diversions Dance Company) and for choreographers including Ben Wright, Kerry Nicholls, Lisa Torun & Jia-Yu Chang.
Tim has taught Contemporary Dance at Performers College since 2010. He joined the academic studies team at Performers in 2018. He is also Head of Contemporary Dance and A Level Dance at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts. He has been a regular teacher of company class for New Adventures. Tim has presented his own choreography independently, including “Left”, “Traces” and "Unfolding Layers" on tour, supported by funding from Arts Council England. He choreographed “Much Ado About Nothing” for the Bedouin Shakespeare Company, which was performed at The Globe Theatre in Rome and in London. He is an A Level Dance Examiner for AQA. Tim completed his MA at London Contemporary Dance School in December 2016.
