Sarah Mayhew

Acting Lecturer

Sarah is an actor/director and Artistic Director of Old Trunk, she’s worked extensively in theatre, TV, film, comedy, radio.

Sarah started her career as a dancer working internationally & in the UK.

Sarah’s recent TV/Film credits include:
Scary Mary in Tell Me Everything (ITV), Jenny in ITV’s hit drama Professor T, Nancy in Toast of Tinseltown (BBC), Fay in Hitmen 2 (Sky) with Mel & Sue, Maggie in BBC’s White Gold (BBC), Tracy in the multi award winning BAFTA/OSCAR listed film My Brother is a Mermaid & Isobel in the award winning feature film Cottontail.

Theatre credits include:
Old Trunk’s Fran & Leni (nominated for best actor), Pramkicker, The Bastard Children of Remington Steele, The Secret Life of Andy Williams. Russell Kane’s Fakespeare, The Winslow Boy, The Sunshine Boys, Erpingham Camp, Danny & the Deep Blue Sea, Serving It Up, Road.

She performed in, produced & hosted the critically acclaimed improv group Quirkish Delight & appeared in & has written for a host of comedy sketch shows.

As a Director Sarah was picked for the prestigious RYTD scheme under Douglas Rintoul at Queens Theatre & worked as the Assistant Director on DNA for Central School of Speech & Drama. She has directed all of Old Trunk’s 4 & 5 star shows.

She has been an Associate Artist at Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch, Mercury Creatives at Mercury Theatre & resident artist at Metal & East 15 and was accepted on the Escalator East to Edinburgh scheme.

Sarah has directed 3 graduate showcases at The Leicester Square Theatre and re-written and directed Chicago set in 2004 in Essex!
Sarah also directed The Ballad of Adulthood with BugEyed Theatre for Camden People’s Theatre.
