Having supported CYD for many years as an exhibitor, it feels right to take the next step. CYD creates a safe space for like-minded students, teachers, and parents to come together and gain invaluable experience. It is vital that events like CYD are created to allow for networking, confidence building, and a place for sharing useful information regarding a future within the performing arts sector.

About CYD?

CYD? is at the forefront of the dance events industry and can be credited for introducing the dance convention scene to the UK. It was developed to create a platform where dancers can be educated and inspired in a supportive and professional environment. CYD? have always, and will always, put dancers at the forefront. Every one of the events has been designed around the dancers’ experience.

Can You Dance? was formed in 2012 after founders Matt Flint & Tom Shilcock met on the BBC1 TV show ‘So you think you can dance.’ They began with one event and have now grown to 6 Regional Conventions, 4 Teacher Conventions, and their flagship event, the CYD? Super Convention. Alongside all of this, they are proud to have an amazing company of 55 dancers in the CYD? Dance Stars Company!
