Northern Ballet School Alumnus celebrates BAFTA Win
Northern Ballet School are incredibly proud to congratulate NBS alumnus Hayley Del Harrison on a fantastic win at the 2025 BAFTA TV Awards.
Hayley was part of the BBC Studios Kids & Family production team behind As You Like It at Shakespeare’s Globe for CBeebies, which took home the award in the Children’s Scripted category. Hayley was the choreographer, creating all the movement and dance in the show. This beautifully inventive production brought Shakespeare from stage to screen—introducing young audiences to the Bard’s world in a vibrant, accessible way.

Hayley reflected on the award:
“It’s such a joy to see our work recognised with a BAFTA. This production was all about making Shakespeare playful and engaging for young audiences, and being part of that was incredibly rewarding.”
Northern Ballet School’s Jackie Gray said:
“How inspiring for our current students to see there are no limits to what you can achieve after training. Hayley has had a long and varied career and continues to go from strength to strength!”
Hayley trained with Northern Ballet School from 1988-1991 and and has since built an impressive career spanning both performance and choreography. After graduating, her performing credits included roles in major productions such as The Phantom of the Opera (UK Tour/Hamburg/Stuttgart), My Fair Lady (Theatre Royal Drury Lane), and various operas with the English National Opera. Her choreography work has flourished in recent years, directing movement for numerous CBeebies productions, as well as theatrical productions like GUTS The Musical (Hull Truck Theatre) and A View from the Bridge (York Theatre Royal/Royal & Derngate).
