Alumni open the first show of Dancing on Ice 2023 with a bang!

Sunday 15th January marked the first of the new series for Dancing on Ice 2023. The show dubbed the ‘greatest show on ice’ returned for another year with a star-studded launch.

Opening the show was a spectacular performance set to Whitney Houston’s classic ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’. Creative direction and choreography for the sequence of skaters and dancers were by graduate Mark Jennings who has been described as ‘one of the leading creative sparks in the global entertainment industry’. Assisting Mark with choreography was fellow graduate Billy Sawyer who has just completed a UK tour with Spice Girl Emma Bunton. Billy also performed in the piece with two more graduates of Performers College – Harrison Dowzell, who has most recently been a principal in Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures company and Emmanuel Kome who you might have spotted as Benjamin J in ‘I Hate Suzie Too’ with Billy Piper.
