Sebastian Loe
Ballet tutor
Sebastian Loe is a British ballet dancer, choreographer, and tutor with a distinguished career in classical ballet. Trained at the prestigious Royal Ballet School (White Lodge and Upper School),
he went on to perform professionally for over a decade.
As a Coryphée with Northern Ballet for 12 years, Sebastian performed in a diverse repertoire, including Swan Lake, Romeo & Juliet, The Nutcracker, The Great Gatsby, and 1984 (by Jonathan Watkins). He also had the honor of working with renowned choreographer Cathy Marston, performing in her production of A Tale of Two Cities. One of his most notable roles was Scrooge in Northern Ballet’s A Christmas Carol.
Sebastian also danced with Birmingham Royal Ballet, further expanding his artistic experience. Throughout his career, he toured internationally with both companies, performing on stages across the world. His career extends into film and television, appearing as a dancer in Disney’s The Nutcracker and The Four Realms and portraying beloved characters in CBeebies adaptations of Elves and the Shoemaker, Three Little Pigs, and Tortoise and The Hare.
As a choreographer, Sebastian created ballets such as The Ugly Duckling and The Tortoise & The Hare, both adapted for CBeebies —The Ugly Duckling earning a Children’s BAFTA Award.
Now a dedicated ballet tutor, Sebastian teaches at Performers College (Birmingham), Dance Xchange/Fabric open classes, and Annette Nicholson’s School of Dance, specializing in youth and adult ballet training.
Beyond his passion for ballet, Sebastian enjoys climbing and values strong interpersonal connections, making him a dynamic and engaging educator.
