Ruth Davies
Course Leader
Ruth trained at London College of Dance graduating with a BA Hons Degree in Dance. After completing her Advanced Ballet qualifications in both RAD and ISTD Ruth embarked on Professional Teaching Qualifications and was awarded Fellowship in Imperial Classical Ballet in 2006. Ruth taught in both the public and private sector for several years, freelancing for a number of vocational colleges and previously holding the position Head of Teaching Studies at The Centre PAC.
She was appointed a marker for the ISTD written unit examinations and was invited to be part of the original team delivering the Diploma in Dance Pedagogy Level 6 Qualification. Ruth has mentored for the RAD CBTS Programme and as co-founder and faculty for the Dance Teacher Training Centre, DanceTeachersInc, she tutors teachers worldwide for DDE, Licentiate and Fellowship Examinations.
A vocational examiner for the ISTD, Ruth regularly conducts regional courses for the society as well as lecturing for the Easter and International Summer Programme. She joined the ICB Committee in 2019.
Ruth is Principal Lecturer of Ballet at Performers College and is currently studying for her PGCERT qualification.
