Lauren Williams

Principal Lecturer in Creative Industries

Lauren Williams trained as a performer at The University of Winchester and at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Additionally, she gained a distinction in her Master of Arts degree for Actor Training and Coaching. Furthermore, Lauren has worked as an educator for 10 years and brings extensive experience as a teacher and Acting Coach.

Lauren's research and practice takes a feminist approach. Moreover, it focuses on challenging power structures within education and promoting consent in actor training. Throughout her career, Lauren has maintained an individual approach while working as a facilitator. Additionally, she supports and develops independence in students.

Lauren uses a student-focused and discussion-based approach. Furthermore, her research explores new teaching methods that develop student independence.
