Klara Hricik

Principal Lecturer - Acting

Klara Hricik (she/they) trained at Point Park University, graduating with a BA in Theatre (Musical Theatre & Directing). Additionally, she studied at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where she obtained an MFA in Actor Training and Coaching (distinction). Furthermore, their practice centers the wellbeing of students while enhancing the quality and effectiveness of their acting training.

As a visiting lecturer, Klara has worked at various institutions including the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Rose Bruford, and East 15 Acting School. Moreover, she has worked as a director, music director, and actor in the United States. Additionally, she assisted Katie Mitchell on a directing short course at Central.

Her research focuses on inclusive accessible approaches to performance training at the teaching and institutional levels. Furthermore, she has presented these ideas at several international conferences. Moreover, she is set to co-edit Stanislavsky and Neurodiversity for Routledge (projected 2026). Additionally, Klara has written a blog post for Theatre, Dance, and Performance Training's blog. She also worked as a guest editor on TDPT's special issue of Training Grounds on 'Training and Feeling'.
