Kath Waters
Musical Theatre Lecturer
Kath Waters is a Midlands based dance practitioner with over 30 years experience as a choreographer, movement director, educator, and performer. She gained a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts at Middlesex University, the Teachers Certificate for Post-Graduate and Professional Dancers at London College of Dance, and the Certificate in Post Compulsory Education at University of Warwick.
Her career has combined extensive teaching and lecturing in dance techniques, choreography and dance history, with creative roles as choreographer and movement director in both educational and industry settings.
Recent choreographic credits include Ticket to the Moon, an Atkins/Waters production (Year Out Drama Company), Nativity! The Musical (The Bridge House Theatre Warwick), Eugène Ionesco’s Rhinoceros (Year Out Drama Company), David Walliam’s Bad Dad (Heartbreak Productions UK tour), William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night (Heartbreak Productions UK tour).
Kath is well known as a performer and teacher of Renaissance and Baroque dance. She regularly performs as a Baroque Dance soloist in concerts and operas throughout the UK and Europe.
