James Muldoon

Associate Lecturer in Singing

James has been professionally performing since the age of 15 and began his training at JazzArt UK in Motherwell, Scotland and continued his training at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. After graduating in 2009, James went on to perform in musicals such as Grease, Footloose and Joseph and Children of Eden. James also worked on board the Queen Mary 2 as a production vocalist and has performed in various venues and concert tours around the world touring with the Marcus Hummon who has written songs for Country artists such as The Dixie Chicks and Rascal Flats. James has also performed with fellow Scot, Alan Cumming.

James is a freelance Musical Director and Cast Installer for Headliners Theatre Company and P&O Cruises.

James is a fully qualified Vocal coach with Estill International and at EMT (Estill Master Training) level.

James has been teaching for over 10 years now and has extensive experience and knowledge of teaching on SQA courses from NPA to HNC/D, as well as various Degree programmes in musical theatre, acting and dance. James previously was the Head of Foundation Courses at The MGA Academy in Edinburgh.

As Musical Director, James has worked on musicals such as Grease, Joseph, Fame, Boogie Nights and Footloose. James choreographed the Scottish premiere of 'Bonnie and Clyde' and 'Soho Cinders’ as well as Children of Eden, American Idiot, Godspell.

Most recently, James was on BBC1’s ‘I Can See Your Voice’ as the ’Teacher'
