Georgina Lamb

Movement & Devising Lecturer

Georgina (George) is a Director, Choreographer & Actor who brings 26 years of professional industry experience to her teaching. Additionally, she holds a BA (hons) in Creative Arts from Manchester Metropolitan University. Furthermore, George is one of the original members of world renowned theatre company 'Frantic Assembly'. Moreover, she worked with the company for 13 years as creative associate and performer. During this time, she performed in six of their shows whilst also directing and leading their workshop and residency programmes.

George is one of the country's leading Movement directors. Additionally, her work appears in theatre and film both nationally and internationally. Her impressive theatre credits include RSC, London's West End, Broadway, off Broadway, The Royal Court, and Royal Exchange Manchester. Furthermore, she has worked with Chichester Festival Theatre, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, Young Vic and over 13 productions at Shakespeare's Globe theatre.

In New York, her work on the award-winning, immersive original Tooting Arts Club production of 'Sweeney Todd' earned a Lucille Lortel award nomination for 'Outstanding Choreography'. Moreover, in film her Choreography & movement work has won a children's BAFTA & BANFF for 'Hansel & Gretel'. Additionally, she received a BAFTA nomination for 'True stories', both for BBC learning.

As an actor, George has worked at The National Theatre, Shakespeare's Globe, The Almeida, Old Vic, and The Royal Court. Furthermore, her credits include National Theatre of Scotland, BBC, ITV and CH4.
