Dr Angela Moran
Associate Lecturer in Singing
Angela is a pianist, singer and fiddle player with adaptable performance skills. After completing a PhD in Music at Cambridge University, she established Rock Choir across Coventry and Warwickshire, coaching singers to record at Abbey Road Studios, to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and to appear at BBC Proms in the Park.
A published author, Angela has written multiple works on various genres of music, including her own book, ‘Irish Music Abroad’, and she is a regular contributor to MAKE Literary Magazine.
Angela has contributed to various media projects, including being lead researcher and presenter of A Very British History: Birmingham Irish I Am, which was broadcast on BBC4.
She continues to lead choirs and teach piano, alongside playing with the Midlands-based Irish band, The Father Teds, and with The Sanctuary Orchestra.
