Christopher Radford
Principal Lecturer - Contemporary Dance
Christopher Radford is a Midlands-based, professional dance performer, teacher and choreographer who works in the high-energy styles of African, Afro-fusion and Contemporary. Chris graduated from Northern School of Contemporary Dance with a First-Class Honours and has extensive performance experience touring internationally with companies and choreographers, including Scottish Dance Theatre, Austin DT, ACE dance and music, Corey Baker Dance, Damien Jalet, Anton Lachky, Fleur Darkin, Rosie Kay. Recent performance credits include numerous outdoor festivals across the UK, as well as being a featured dancer for the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony stadium performance, televised by the BBC.
Chris is co-director of Linden Dance Company with Sara Macqueen, a professional performance company specialising in highly physical and emotive work, that also has a youth strand, Linden Youth. Chris recently achieved the status of Fellow (FHEA) in recognition of attainment against the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education.
