Acting Tutor
Carlyss trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) graduating with a BA (Hons) in Acting. She has since been working as a professional actress in various mediums of performance including TV, theatre, film, voice over, commercials and radio.
Some notable credits include for TV Dalgliesh; Beyond Paradise; The Crown; Viewpoint; Home; The Feed; Silent Witness; The Tempest; Midsomer Murders and Holby City. Film The Great Escaper; County Lines; Peter and Wendy. For theatre Watch on the Rhine (Donmar Warehouse), Ocean at the End of the Lane (National Theatre); Rules for Living (ETT/Royal & Derngate; UK Tour); Groundhog Day (The Old Vic); Jefferson’s Garden (Watford Palace); Hamlet; A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Shakespeare’s Globe); The Rivals (Theatre Royal Haymarket, West End, Theatre Royal Bath Productions, UK Tour).
Carlyss has been teaching and acting coaching for over 17 years; directing productions with community groups and youth theatres; private coaching students and professional actors and also running a theatre school for young people for a decade.
She is delighted to be part of the Performers College Team and loves working with training students to develop their confidence and aptitude in the performing arts.
