Ashley James Turner
Associate Lecturer in Singing and Musical Director
Ashley James Turner is a professional vocal coach and musical director with over 15 years experience coaching and training performers in the industry.
Ashley is currently an associate singing teacher and musical director at Performers College, singing and acting coach at Dancebox Studios and has previously taught at colleges and Universities including London Studio Centre, Wilkes Academy, Platinum Academy, Arts Educational, Buckinghamshire New University and University of Cumbria. He also teaches in his own private studio with a specialism in musical theatre, audition coaching, repertoire and technique.
Ashley is a Vocal Process Accredited Singing Teacher working alongside his mentors Dr Gillyanne Kayes and Jeremy Fisher to continue his research and study in the singing voice.
As well as vocal coaching and musical directing, Ashley is an experienced composer specialising in works for contemporary dance. He has composed works for companies such as, Barcelona Dance Exchange, University of Cumbria, DanceAhead, 3rd Stage Dance Company, Physical Folk and Just Add Water.
