Principal Lecturer - Vocals
Andy studied at the Royal Academy of Music, London, earning his LRAM and Certificate of Advanced Studies. Additionally, he has worked for over 30 years as a musical director, vocal coach, pianist and keyboard player. Furthermore, his work has been mainly in London's West End.
Musical Director Work
Andy's MD work includes Associate Musical Director for Sweeney Todd (Chichester and Adelphi). Additionally, he worked on Merrily We Roll Along (Menier Chocolate Factory and Harold Pinter Theatre). Furthermore, he worked on Bend It Like Beckham (Phoenix Theatre). Moreover, his credits include Sister Act (London Palladium) and The Sound Of Music (London Palladium). Additionally, he worked on Les Miserables (Queens and Palace Theatres) and as Associate Conductor for We Will Rock You (Dominion).
Andy served as Musical Director for The Woman In White (Palace). Furthermore, he worked as Assistant and Children's Musical Director for Whistle Down The Wind (Aldwych). Additionally, his work includes Assistant Musical Director for My Fair Lady (Drury Lane). Moreover, he worked on The Witches Of Eastwick (Drury Lane and Prince of Wales), Cats (New London and UK tour), Maddie (Lyric) and Stepping Out (Albery).
Keyboard & Piano Work
Andy's keyboard and piano work includes Follies (National Theatre). Additionally, he worked on Matilda (Cambridge Theatre and UK Tour). Furthermore, he played for Tina – The Tina Turner Musical (Aldwych). Moreover, his credits include Half A Sixpence (Noel Coward), Beautiful (Aldwych) and 42nd Street (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane). Additionally, he has worked on Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Mamma Mia, Shrek, Billy Elliot, Oliver!, and Grease. Furthermore, his extensive credits include Miss Saigon, Bombay Dreams, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jerry Springer The Opera, Guys And Dolls, Kiss Of The Spider Woman and Sunset Boulevard.
Composition & Teaching
Andy also works as an associate lecturer at the University of Chichester. Moreover, he composes original musicals, including Quasimodo and Gulliver's Travels. Additionally, both musicals received acclaim at the Minack Theatre in Cornwall. Furthermore, Gulliver's Travels received professional showcasing in London. Moreover, the Royal Academy of Music workshopped the production. Additionally, the University of Chichester performed it in a fully staged production in 2017.
