Manchester campus celebrate at annual awards ceremony

24 May, 2024

The students at our Manchester campus took centre stage on Thursday afternoon to celebrate a year’s worth of outstanding achievements in the performing arts. The historic Dancehouse Theatre provided a fitting backdrop as students from all three-year groups and their proud lecturers gathered for the annual event that honours the hard work, creativity and dedication of the school’s young actors, dancers, and singers over the past academic year.

Hosted by Principal Lecturer Toby Hinson, the event demonstrated the camaraderie and support from the student and staff community at Performers College Manchester – whether recognising a standout performance, improved technique, or an exceptional attitude, the students and faculty alike erupted with applause for each other’s successes. This tight-knit family of artists made it clear that one person’s achievement is a victory celebrated by all.

Contremporary Musical Theatre year 3 pose at awards ceremony

After the awards had concluded, the Manchester student community attended a reception where the celebrations continued.  Principle Lecturer Katie Ritson, commented:

It was wonderful to be able to come together with students from all years, and pathways, and round off the academic year, celebrating their hard-work and successes this year. It was also the perfect opportunity for us all to bid a fond farewell to our graduating cohort before they leave us to take their next steps in the world. We’re enormously proud of all of our Performers College family, and what they’ve achieved this year, and it was the biggest joy to celebrate them all.

Productions Manager Adam Martin, created a highlight video for the final year students to showcase some of the amazing work they have done during their time at Performers College Manchester.

Well done to everyone at the Manchester campus for an amazing year.
