Angharad Jones-Young
Associate Lecturer - Contemporary Dance
Angharad is a contemporary dancer, performer and teacher who grew up in Snowdonia, North Wales. She trained at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, graduating in 2021 with a First Class Honours degree.
After graduating, Angharad joined National Dance Company Wales as an apprentice dancer for their 21-22 season, where she toured works by Andrea Costanzo-Martini, Anthony Matsena and Caroline Finn. Angharad then joined ACE dance & music as a company dancer in June 2022, where she toured and performed works by Vincent Mantsoe, Gail Parmel, Serge Coulibaly and Jamaal Burkmar. In 2024, Angharad decided to pursue a freelance career, and has since worked as a dancer for various companies including Ransack Dance Company, Keneish Dance, Rosie Kay K2CO and ADP Events.
Alongside performing, Angharad has a strong passion for dance teaching. Her teaching credits include British Ballet Organisation, Elmhurst Ballet School, Black Country Dance Hub, Grace & Poise Academy, Brum Pro Class, ACE dance & music, Ransack Dance Company, Keneish Dance and Dance Collective CIC.
