Performers College Birmingham Facilities
Our facilities are purpose-built for the highest standard of performing arts training.
Situated in artistic Digbeth, our Birmingham college is in the heart of the city’s creative quarter. You will find us on Little Ann Street, part of a campus that includes three BIMM University schools: BIMM Music Institute, Screen and Film School, and Performers College.
Our new facilities include large dance studios for dance, dedicated acting and singing studios, bespoke computer suites, and even a physiotherapy treatment room.
With even more new facilities for 2023, you will have everything you need to train with the best.
Theatre
Our spacious theatre is where performances and rehearsals take place, and it is equipped with the latest industry-standard technology. From retractable bleacher seats and tech gantry to a full sound and light system with dual Panasonic projectors, you’ll have everything you need to take to the stage.
The theatre also includes a retractable wall which allows two separate groups to rehearse at once.
Our facilities in detail
Dance Studios
Our six dance studio rooms are perfect for aspiring performers. These generous studios not only have professional Harlequin Cascade floors but also full-height wall mirrors and barres. This makes them great for many styles of dance, from contemporary to ballet, to salsa and hip hop.
Acting studios
Our two spacious ‘Black Box’ acting studios are kitted out with leading sound and lighting and can be used for solo or group acting classes, rehearsals and more
Communal Space
This space is reserved purely for student use and is the perfect place to relax, socialise or grab a snack. Inside, there is plenty of seating and table space, as well as vending machines.
Vocal rooms
Our three singing studios are dedicated spaces for vocal training, tutorials and rehearsal. Each room contains a piano, small mixer and mirrors. There is also a full AV installation that includes a TV and Adam Audio monitors, allowing you to listen back to your performances.
Mac suites
We have two Mac suites containing Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, which are available for all students to use. Each Mac includes licensed software from Adobe, Davinci, Logic and more.
Screening Room
We share a dedicated screening room with our Screen and Film School faculty. This features a 136-inch screen with surround sound, and LED lighting for those important viewings and college events.
